What a disgrace it is for a man to grow old, without ever seeing the beauty and strength of which his body is capable

Socrates
When Socrates gave this proverb in the 4th century, he surely had not thought that it would still ring true hundreds of years later. It is indeed unfortunate that many of us go through life, greying our hair, bending our backs; without truly realizing the beauty and strength that our body is inherently capable of. We live a mediocre life, foregoing the chance to be truly exceptional.
Your body does all the work when you workout out to achieve strength, shape and fitness. But the mind is more important than the body. It is the mind, which visualizes what the body needs to look like and this in turn creates the will to go on, to work harder and to push the limits.
